Erin Tresch has been selected as the 2024-2025 Booker T. Washington High School Teacher of the Year!
Erin joined Team Tulsa in 2021. Previously, she worked in child welfare but ultimately decided to return to school for her master's degree in history so she could help get students excited about history and engaging in the world around them. She taught for two years at Carver before returning to teach at her alma mater in 2023.
"I graduated from Booker T in 2010, so it feels like home," said Erin. "I love the community here and the feeling of academic freedom the kids have. It's so cool to see kids thriving in classes like AP US History and Anthropology and to be a part of that. They are determined and SMART."
Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband, run with their dog, hang out with their cats, and cross-stitch.
