Attend to Win!
Attend to Win! is Tulsa Public Schools’ comprehensive citywide effort to combat chronic absenteeism and drive home the importance of showing up for school each and every day. Together with the City of Tulsa, we are partnering with families and many community partners to get students to school every day! Attendance is a leading indicator of student outcomes, and we know that in order to set our students up for success, they must Attend to Win!
To improve attendance, we need the community’s help with the “big four”: transportation, physical and mental health, safety, and housing insecurity. Our community is pitching in, and we want to hear from families too – connect with us by filling out this form.
Enrollment Updates
The first enrollment window for 2024-25 closed Friday, February 16. For all families who applied: our team is now processing your application. An electronic matching system then assigns students to schools based on the preferences indicated on your application and available space. Guardians will be notified of results by the last day of March.
The TPS Enrollment Center is closed to the public this week (Feb 20-23) for the team to process 2024-2025 applications. They will resume normal operating hours on Monday, Feb 26 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
Missed the first enrollment window but still want to attend Tulsa Public Schools next year? There’s still time! The Second EnrollTulsa! Window for the 2024-25 school year will open at 1 a.m. April 15 and close midnight the last day of May.
Celebrate Reading Partners Tulsa and City Year Tulsa Saturday, March 9
Join TPS partners City Year Tulsa and Reading Partners Tulsa as these organizations mark 10 years of dedicated service benefitting TPS students and our Tulsa community.
Celebration is Saturday, March 9, 1-4pm at Gathering Place. This event is FREE and open to everyone and will feature student performances, lawn games, face painting, music, and more (including cake!) English flyer; Spanish flyer
Community Connections Session for Immigrant Parents on February 28
Newcomer and immigrant families: join us to learn about resources and services available in our community and get questions answered. These events bring together local agencies and community organizations that offer free or affordable services for families. The next session is Wednesday, February 28 from 5:30-6:30pm at Casa de la Cultura, 1515 N. Harvard. The event flyers can be found here.
Sessions are currently presented in Spanish and English. Parents who need language support in additional languages can request an interpreter no later than February 21. For details and instructions to request an interpreter please see our Community Connections flyer.
TPS Hiring Fair
Did you know? Many long-serving team members started working at Tulsa Public Schools because – like you – they had a child attending school in the district.
The Talent Management team is excited to host an Educator Hiring Fair on Wednesday, March 27 from 5-8pm at the Memorial High School Veterans Arena located at 5840 S. Hudson Ave. Tulsa Public Schools is looking for passionate, dedicated professionals who are committed to supporting our students as they learn and grow in the 2024-2025 school year. The team will be hiring for teaching positions and many school-based support roles. We encourage you to share this opportunity with friends and family who may be interested in joining Team Tulsa! FREE Tax Filing at the TPS Parent Resource Center
Join Tulsa Responds and the PRC team to get your 2023 taxes filed for FREE and make sure any refund or credit you’re entitled to stays with you and your family. Through February 29, meet with TulsaResponds at Tulsa Public Schools’ Parent Resource Center (525 E. 46th St. N., in the Alcott building next to North Star Academy). They are available the following days/times:
Tuesday – Friday, from 10 a.m. – 3p.m. (PRC, room 24)
Families in Tulsa County who earned $64,000 or less in 2023 can file their taxes with an IRS-certified tax preparer at no cost through Tulsa Responds. Free tax filing appointments with Tulsa Responds are also available until April 15. Visit www.tulsaresponds.org/taxes or call 918-900-0918 to make an appointment.
Tulsa Public Schools Board Elections and Candidate Forum
The University of Tulsa, the Tulsa World and the Tulsa Press Club are sponsoring a free public forum for candidates running in the upcoming Board of Education election for Tulsa Public Schools.
Each candidate is invited to participate in the forum, which is free and open to the public. Online registration is required. The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lorton Performance Center on the TU campus, 550 S. Gary Place.

March 8 is the last day to register to vote in the April 2 school board elections. Visit the Tulsa County Election Board website for voter registration information.
Youth Medical Mentor Summit @ TulsaTech
Your 8th-12th grade student is invited to the Youth Medical Mentor Summit on March 12th. Students can explore the world of medicine through hands-on clinical activities and connect with professionals in the field. Complimentary lunch is provided for all participants.

Multilingual Parent Advisory Committee (MPAC) – Next Meeting Feb 29
The Tulsa Public Schools’ MPAC (Multilingual Parent Advisory Committee) is having a meeting on February 29, 2024, from 5:30pm–6:30pm The MPAC is comprised of parents and guardians of multilingual learners enrolled in Tulsa Public Schools. The MPAC meets monthly to advise the district on matters that are important to multilingual learners and learn about ways they can advocate and support their children’s education. Parents can register to attend this session and receive the Zoom link by completing the MPAC Parent Registration Form. Sessions are currently presented in English and Spanish. Parents who need language supports in additional languages can request an interpreter by completing the online registration form no later than February 19..

Kravis Summer Arts Camps from TPS
Kravis Summer Arts Camp provides an opportunity for students from across the city of Tulsa to express their creativity and be immersed in the fine arts for two full weeks each summer (2024 camp dates: June 3-14).
